CFI Updadte 1

It is official, I am confirming rumors that I have begun CFI ground training at an undisclosed location. Training to teach others is an odd experience for someone who has been being told what to do in an airplane for the past two years or so. This is an accelerated ground course and should be 1/4 completed by the time you read this. My first impression is that this is a lot more about psychology that flying and the accelerated format is not as insurmountable as it seems. We cover alot of information in a short time, but still have enough time between sessions to review and cement the information and principals we are covering. Also it could be slightly easier due to the fact that we are learning about learning. The first two weeks cover the Fundamentals of instruction information for the FOI test and the second two covers the CFI portion. It is still early in the game, but things are going smoothly at the moment. I will be giving an update every week during the CFI ground training so keep checking in.

The WII

Ok this post is gonna go a little off topic. Recently I was able to find a Nintendo Wii online for store price and I couldn't resist. This post is my short review of what I think about the system. First of all I am not a die hard Nintendo fan. My last system was the X BOX and I loved the system. I really was not impressed with the Wii when it was released. A friend of mine purchased a Wii when they first hit the market and I got to play it. Playing the Wii is what made me decide that it was the system for me. It really makes playing a game more fun. I purchased a WWII flying game and using the controller to fly instead of button flying really is an awesome feeling. Also the basic wii sports and game play games are great for group play. Thats all for now but I will be preparing another post for auto posting after this one is finished. BTW comments are awsome

On to the next rating!

I have finished my flying in the Seneca and am now working on my next rating. I have transitioned back to the cirrus and am finding myself a bit rusty. Though moving along in the program here is exciting I will miss flying the Seneca. It is a great airplane and I loved throwing it around in different maneuvers. Its hard to describe walking away from an airplane you love flying this much, but on to bigger and better things I suppose. Anyone had a similar experience?

Still here!

Ok, I know everyone reading this knows just how awesome this blog is so back by popular demand I bring you a new post. I since my last post I have received my high-performance and complex aircraft endorsements. I have also been flying the Piper PA-34 Seneca and love every minute of it. The Seneca is a powerhouse and a great year round IFR airplane. With a full known ice package it is one of the only reasons I have been able to get any flight time during the winter months. Being heavier more complex and all around more versatile than the all of the aircraft I have previously flown the Seneca is a not so subtle hint that my time in College is winding down. As I finish my last few flights in this wonderful airplane I am beginning the first steps towards my transition to jet aircraft with our CRJ-200 Sim. This is just a short update to prove to some of my admirers that I am still the greatest think to hit the sky since clouds. Until next time I wish you all tailwinds.
